About Kathy MacFarlane

Kathy MacFarlane, MA, CFRE I have a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Royal Roads University, am a certified Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) coach and have my CFRE. I have spent 30 years in fundraising and senior leadership roles in children’s services, health care, college and university settings.

My experience includes legacy giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, annual giving, grant writing, and special events. Through all of this I have been immersed in organizational development opportunities and challenges. I love helping non-profit leaders navigate fundraising and organizational development challenges. Now, through my consulting business, I also promote my passion for fostering healthy leadership principles so people can thrive at work, home and in the world.

I believe in creating spaces and processes that allow for maximizing creativity and innovation by inviting people to bring their soul to the workplace. I know how to entwine that with practical priority setting and planning. I have consulted for non-profits and taught many courses and workshops in fund-raising, non-profit management, board governance, and leadership topics.

I have facilitated strategic planning and facilitated organizational development inquiries on topics such as: cultivating a culture of philanthropy, fostering inclusive excellence, evaluating and improving internal governance, and creating a 50-100 year campus master plan. I have also volunteered on many non-profit boards and committees. Unique to my suite services is my coaching on Spiritual Intelligence, an emerging field that explores how to tap into a higher intelligence that helps us amplify our EQ and IQ. It is a meaningful self-discovery process and evidence suggests a higher presence of SQ creates more profit, organization effectiveness and team satisfaction.

My husband and I love to travel in our RV and take our rambunctious dog Sage on many miles of walks.
